Looks like the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is looking to expand its operations in a very substantial manner only three months after running their first revenue service. This proposed expansion would connect SMART to the National Network, and make the Suisun City/Fairfield Capitol Corridor station a multi-operator rail facility.

The extension plan would run past the Sonoma Raceway, formerly known as Sears Point, and use the tracks which have been utilized to run the special Race Trains operated on Capitol Corridor equipment for the past few years.
