Its been a few years since I rode Amtrak. Ive had for the most part good or excellent service from the employees. One attendent who worked out west, D'Arriell (im sure I massacred the spelling) sounds kind of like Darrell, turned a mediocre to a possibly down right bad trip into a really great one. By the time we all arrived in Los Angeles the trip was several hours late but a lot of people didnt seem to mind and I think that was because of the great service. I wonder if he is still with Amtrak.
Ive had many trips with great service and a list of employees I wouldn't mind running into again. I am looking at a fall trip out west. For those of you who have rode Amtrak lately, how has service been in the past year or so?
I would like to know if cut backs or shortages seemed noticeable compared to the trips I had in the past? Has the quality of service deteriorated?
