Is dinner served on the eastbound Cardinal #30 from Washington to New York?

No, because the eastbound Cardinal is #50!

I do believe dinner is served, but I don't think there's local traffic between WAS and NYP in #50!

Oops! I meant #50. No local traffic, but I'm thinking of CHI-BAL or CHI-PHL.

Also for consideration: Cardinal #50 has been notoriously late recently, often in the 2-3 hour range, and if so it would be well past dinner time by the time it reaches the WAS-PHL segment.

When i left the DC heading to New York, they served dinner. But we were running late by an hour.

But dont bother. The only different thing they have on the menu is disgustingly dry beef. Its not worth the money.

Cardinal's dinner car shares with the lounge car, and the kitchen is right next to the cafe. Food is just not going to be good.
