Columbia River Bridge repair

My wife is on Amtrak Cascades 516. The train is blocked at Columbia River Bridge. Passengers were told that it takes at least 90 minutes to repair the bridge.

Bear in mind that 516 is suspended north of Seattle.

Sounds like it is a swing bridge with many of the same problems as Amtrak's Portal bridge.

I'm surprised they didn't bus the passengers from Vancouver (WA), which is *not* a long bus ride.

The repair actually took 75 minutes, 15 minutes earlier than announced!

516 arrived SEA at 7:56pm, 1 hour 26 minutes late.

The passengers were then transported to their destinations north of SEA by different buses.
