Is there a set schedule by which Amtrak publishes new timetables?

For example, the latest New England Regional timetable came out Feb 6,

but the latest Silver Meteor is still from Nov 2. I may have to take a trip on these

lines in the near future.

In general, timetables are published around the change of time. However, timetables can change based upon track work. That is why you'll see a lot of changes in the summer, when track work peaks.

There will be another New England change in April which will supersede the FEB 6 change.

Not sure, anymore....

At one time, they put out the new national timetable to coincide with the spring and fall clock change. Or they would put out adjusted timetables to coincide with major track rehabilitation projects, etc.

Now that they seem to be going to electronic timetables, they could change them at any time for any reason....

However, the schedule shown on Amtrak.com for (say) October 23 is the most likely scheduled times for that trip. Adjustments may be made at a later date, but that is what they expect it to be right now.
