Has any official mentioned the return of the Desert Wind lately?

Not that I've heard, but then I don't really expect to hear much until the study is complete. Even then I'm not holding my breath for its return, even though it would be a good train for Amtrak to bring back.

I saw on the news this morning that the VP is to make an announcement at Washington Union Station regarding Amtrak funding as part of the stimulus. If anyone has specifics about this announcement and could post the same it would be appreciated!
I'm not sure if anyone will be carrying the presentation live or not!
