Just was reading an artical on old Amtrak locos and it refered to an F69PHAC , what do they look

like? I had never herd of them>

the first train is the Swedish X2000 pushed by 2 F40ph locos the 2nd is the 2 F69PHAC locos pulling the German ICE train back in 93.

God....what a HORRIBLE sounding horn!!
Yes the X2000 and Ice Train had awful horns but keeping in mind that they come from overseas where grade crossings are less frequent. So they don't blow the horn as much as over in the states.

The F69's are like zephyr17 said commonly referred to as the "Winnebago". But Metra in Chicago bought a dead ringer of it but it is labeled as a F40.
