My brother and myself will be taking a Chicago to Washington, DC then onto Florida (Deerfield Beach) in September. I have been reading about the delays that can occurr on the Capital Limited line into Washington, DC. I hear that Amtrak will accomodate passengers on the Capital Limited if it arives late to connect the Silver Service. My question is has anyone experienced that situation recently? I would like a heads up on what to expect on our trip. I hate surprises, lol. My return trip shouldn't be too bad. We are taking the Silver Service from FL all the way to NYC and then connecting to the Lake Shore Limited the same day back to Chicago. Many thanks in advance.
