I just check the Amtrak Status Maps and I saw that SL #2 lost 6 hours just between El Paso and Alpine. What could have possibly happened for the train to lose that much time, if it didn't have something to do with equipment (let's hope it doesn't)?

A freight could have broken down. Signal problems. Grade crossing accident. Any of these or something else.
Roswell. It's NW of El Paso and NE of Alpine. If you draw a straight line between them, you will see it forms a triangle. Just like the Bermuda Triangle only more sinister. Amtrak is part of the government and everyone knows the government covers up things like that. Many freight trains have disappeared. Better not to ask too many questions.

Lots of aliens crossing the border in their spaceships. Border Patrol can't keep up with them.

is this the same train that left Chicago (Texas Eagle) on Sunday afternoon?
