91 sat in Raleigh station for 4 hours. This was posted on Amtrak Alerts:
"UPDATE: Silver Star Train 91 which departed New York (NYP) on 6/20 is currently stopped in Raleigh (RGH) due to a mechanical issue caused by debris on the track. Updates to follow as more information becomes available."
So did the train hit the debris or was the debris simply on the track and in the way?
If the engine was damaged, why didn't they simply borrow a NCDOT engine like they've done in the past?
What happened?
