I just took a few rides this week.
On Monday, there was a MAJOR snowstorm in upstate NYS. I was headed southbound, and the train filled up. Why? Because the buses were not running due to the road conditions! So they were “forced” to take a train into NYP!
I returned on Friday. The EA from NYP was SOLD OUT, so I had to take the next train, and overnight in ALB. That next train I discovered once I boarded was also SOLD OUT!
The good thing was that due to a shortage of cars, both the NYP-ALLB segment and the ALB-FED segment used Amfleet I Business Class cars for coach seating!
