As I am traveling the #4 from KCY to CHI in the middle of the summer, connecting to the #59 that same day, I was wondering if anyone knows how long track maintenance (somewhere between Garden City and Trinidad?) is scheduled to take?
While I am confident that I'll have no trouble making this particular connection (Southwest Chief to City of New Orleans) this summer, there are other trips coming up (KCY to MKE and KCY to GRR) where connection time is much less and I'd prefer to plan ahead on ticket purchase - take much later connections - if I know the delays will be continuing for more than the next six months.
