Due to a fallen tree in the power lines near Cos Cob, we will be running diesel service between Stamford & NY w/ several combined trains.

An 85-foot tree which had been leaning on a Connecticut Light & Power transmission line after yesterday’s storm caused that line and another to arc, and brought down power Monday morning....
Metro North says all four tracks are without power. They’re rotating in diesel engines between Stamford and Grand Central Station, and are combining some trains. The railroad says passengers should expect delays up to 30 minutes. Amtrak says there are disruptions in Northeast Corridor between New Haven and Penn Station.

If all four tracks remain without power, that will certainly hobble Amtrak service that would have to switch to diesel and back to electric before NYP.
