I just retired as a non-agreement employee from Amtrak. I was told that as long as my pass did not have my social security number on it, I would not need to change it. Today I went to book tickets for my wife and myself. The reservation clerk could not retrieve any information by using my SS# and said I was probably purged from the system. Can anyone tell me what to do next. I have gotten so many confusing answers from every Amtrak "expert" I talked to. Do you know how long it would take for me to get a new retiree pass card?

If you are anywhere near Wash. DC, the Pass bureau has an office in Union station and can probably replace pass on the spot. Otherwise call the pass bureau, and see what they suggest. I don't have number for them, maybe res. office can produce a number for you. Good luck!
