Hi
I wanted to share this web site with you all because it has a Amtrak 1971 timeable on the web site as well as other companies before 1971 and also describes what passenger cars were used.

What website?

The one which I have added on my orginal post it was a oversite

GWR,thanks for the link and thanks for the memories. Check the listing for the N,C & St. L. RR timetable for April 1947 and see the Dixie Flagler, referred to as a "special train for its day." That is the train I was taken on at age 3, at which time I became addicted to trains for life.I was taken on it overnight between Chattanooga and Daytona Beach. The Georgian, below it--the two of them together are my all time favorite trains---interwoven as they are with extremely pleasurable chidlhood events.ALso, my trip on the Flagler would have been during 1947.
