NE Regional Business Class Improvements?

I'm currently on a NE Regional (176), in business class (I decided to try it out). The seats aren't the older blue fabric (as I've seen in many pictures), but are instead blue leather. Is this a new thing, or have I just not seen it before?

It's vinyl. And yes it's the new thing.

Yes. All NER BC is going to be converted to this type of seat over time.

Vinyl was the "Big Thing" in the 70s!! Id rather have new cloth seats than vinyl, even the Luxury Car Companies are doing good things with cloth instead of Leather or Vinyl! ( Of course good Leather is Best but Expensive!)

Most of the luxury car companies I know of offer either vinyl or varying qualities of leather. I'm not sure who varies.

Mercedes offers cloth or vinyl in the Sprinter, but that's a commercial truck not a luxury car. I've been debating whether I should order the Vito with cloth or vinyl. Vinyls more expensive but it lasts longer *shrug*

I've seen this before too - did you happen to get the car number? I happened to be in one recently - and apparently it wasn't the one they displayed at NTD 2013
