Is lunch served on 58 leaving New Orleans?

Is lunch served for sleeping car passengers on No. 58 leaving New Orleans?  I am told that it is not so that a nice lunch in New Orleans before departure would be in order.  Commanders Palace comes to mind!

Commanders Palace sounds great.   Dinner on the train is passable, but not so good if you are paying cash.    You won’t miss anything not hAving lunch on the train.  The scenery is pretty interesting leaving New Orleans.
