Harry's Cafe could be forced to move after 41 years at Naperville train station spot

Somebody has been doing some real backpedaling

Harry’s Cafe, a train station staple for 41 years in Naperville, is not moving after all. But it could face competition.

The Naperville station trains include the California Zephyr, Illinois Zephyr, Carl Sandburg and Southwest Chief ... Naperville serves Metra's BNSF Railway commuter line, and an abundance of Pace bus routes ... About 4,100 people board Metra trains at the Naperville station daily and about 53,000 Amtrak passengers annually

With Amtrak saying Food Trucks will be available for the Auto Train ... what if this becomes a trend

I bet that 99 percent of Harry's customers are Metra passengers, serving up coffee and treats for weekday morning rush hour riders. This is little or nothing to do with any Amtrak food service plans.

I wasn't trying to imply it had anything to do with Amtrak food service plans.

Just commenting that, if one municipality bans food trucks from train depots, others may follow suit ... in the past year more and more cities across the US are drafting stricter regulations that determine where food trucks can/cannot park.
