Fall Schedule Changes

All Amtrak schedule changes except for the NEC and the Thruway services are complete. The NEC and Thruway changes are slated to be completed by 18OCT02. Look at trains 145/147 after that date to see how the Lake Shore Limited/Acela Regional situation plays out between Boston and Springfield.

How do you know that all (well almost) train schedules will be changed? Is there any way to take a "sneak preview" on the schedule over the internet?

You can go to Amtrak's reservations website and put in a particular trip as if you were making a reservation. It will give you all available trains for that day, as well as the fares for the particular service class you choose. You would just back out before finalizing the reservation with a credit card, and you're done, not charged for your fantasy trip.
