The ride into Charlottesville on Amtrak's Crescent train Thursday morning was stopped in Nelson County after a passenger on the train got completely out of control. Things got worse once deputies arrived.

A total of five people were attacked Thursday morning in Nelson, delaying two busy train lines that come right through Charlottesville.

The Amtrak Crescent line train pulled into Charlottesville three and a half hours late because of an unruly passenger.

The train involved in the incident at Charlottesville was the northbound crescent - #20(08). It arrived New York 3 hours late yesterday afternoon (6/9). The mega-late #19 at NOL resulted from multiple equipment failures.
