Noticed CL 29 lost about 6 hours somewhere between Cumberland Md and Connellsville,Pa yesterday and has not reached PGH yet. Anyone on board know what happened?

Looks like 30 "hit" the same snafu. It left PGH and is now 2 hours late and has not reached COV.

The trailing engine had traction problems. Then, the lead engine had a traction motor fire. HEP was restored from the second unit but it had to wait for host help.
The lack of spare locomotives is certainly causing some problems when they leave WAS with damaged equipment. We had our one engine TE cause major delays last year when its brakes went haywire.

5PM EST and still only in Toledo. 30(9) looks ok equipment wise, crew rest could be a challenge.

Lead engine 147 was just repainted in April, now toasted at the rear truck. Just add butter and jam. Repaints are magnets that attract incidents.

Maybe just "maybe" once some Chargers are in service there can be some spare locos ? Not counting on that item !
