Hello! Newbie here.
Just had a few quick questions on Amtrak's hiring process, in particular for a coach cleaner position.
I applied a few days ago (5 days to be exact) and received a call from a recruiter today. We chatted for a bit before she told me she was pushing me through to the next stage of the process (face to face interview with a hiring manager). I was wondering:
1. How long the entire process has been for someone applying for a similar position?
2. Do they actually check your references or past employers? My last supervisor is a complete numbskull and is the LAST person I'd want a recruiter on the phone with.
3. What was the interview like for this or a similar position?
