The westbound California Zephyr arrived at the Galesburg, Illinois station close to on time today with smoke coming from the second axle of the second engine. This eventually led to the engine being left on the siding at the station. It's still visible on one of the station's web cameras. You can also click through the last four hours of the camera's feed to see some of the action yourself if you're not too late.

Here's #5(17) with just AMTK 151 leading passing Agency, Iowa about two hours late this evening.

Expect the eastbound 6 to be a one unit wonder tomorrow through the area as they left their leader in Denver to put on top of 151.

#6(16) came through Agency, Iowa two and a half hours late with just AMTK 46 pulling and a nice engineer. The train also had one of its sleeping cars on the end.

    Agent,

I just love your videos! Even with only one engine, that train is moving!

I was tracking them into Denver. They kicked it up to 80.2 between McCook and Ft. Morgan. Went by my house house about 70! And yes A.Train vids are excellent. I check them daily.

Dakota 400 is correct. They are great! Between you and Mike Jensen 80701 (he's just northeast of me in Brighton) I know what to expect to pass by.

And that locomotive is still sitting there. It may be a complex issue to get it back "home" but you'd think they would want to get it back in working order.
