Acela off peak on weekends?

Are all weekend Acela trains considered "off peak" or are there some trains on Saturday or Sunday considered "peak?"

I do not believe there are peak/off peak on the weekends. However, you can only use discounts like senior on the weekends - not on weekdays!

Yes. They are considered off peak. Although sometimes getting lower fares may be tricky. Even more so on Sunday.

Peak is only on Acela trains. If you look at the AGR Terms for redeeming point under the old system Tickets couldn't be redeemed on trains Departing from your station of Origin from Start of Service (5am) until 9am. As well as from 2pm until 6pm. Which is what Amtrak defines as peak times for Acela service. One can still use upgrade coupons during that time frame. I'm not sure about Companion Coupons.
