Hi, anyone know why an error pops up when trying to book travel through the Atlantic City Express Service (ACE) station? I called Amtrak and they see the error, as well, but don't know the cause. I tried to go through the ACESTrain.com website, as well, but since it re-directs to Amtrak.com, I get the same error. Thoughts?

I just tried and it seems to be working fine. I think they only run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so maybe if you choose another day you get an error? I rode on that train a few months ago and it was very nice.

Very strange...it still doesn't work for me and I've tried on multiple computers. I am definitely entering a Fri-Sun round trip. I am still receiving the error:

Problem Finding Service: Sorry, we cannot find train service matching your request. Please try alternate stations/cities. To learn more about trains available at a particular station, please click on the 'Stations' tab above.

[Error ID: 108A]

P.S. This is only an issue if trying to book travel past Jan 9. arrow3, see if you get the error message by trying to book ACES travel after Jan 9.

Just called again for the 4th time...finally they figured out that ACES travel is suspended from Jan 9 to May. This is infuriating for two reasons:

1) Where is the bulletin about this on the Amtrak, ACES, or NJ Transit website?! It's nowhere to be found. The Customer Service Reps don't even know about this.

2) I know many people who have already booked travel on ACES between this time period before this error appeared on the website. These individuals have not received any notification that their reservations are no longer valid. When was Amtrak going to notify them that they need to alter or cancel their travel plans? There is no excuse for this.

Amtrak is not the operator, owner, or anything else of the ACES service- it is run by NJ Transit, owned by the casinos, and Amtrak's only involvement is booking the tickets. Amtrak may not even be aware of NJTs plans to pause the service.

Also, to be completely honest with you, I am shocked the thing is still running at all. Don't bet on it coming back in May. AC can't afford this stuff anymore.

Since I am free that day I decided to book the last ACES train of 1/9 from ACE to NWK. It is possible to book code ACY but it will be a connection via Northeast Corridor service to PHL and then the NJT Atlantic City Rail Line.

Hmm I wonder why it's suspended. Low ridership maybe? Seems like a waste to have those special ACES cars when they can't be used.

Maybe New Jersey could lease the cars to Nevada and use them for service between Los Angeles and Las Vegas??

I don't think I would bet on it!!

The casinos fund it and they are having a bad year. If they want to stop funding, the trains stop running. I wasn't expecting it to last anyway.
