Me too! Me too! I'll do LAX to SBA on the CS and then back to LAX on the Surfliner one last time and....that's a wash. I'm not off from work on the days when it leaves from LAX. I have some very precious memories of the PPC over the years, and boy will it be missed.

I used to do RIV to SLT and RNO often. It's a bus, but the last few times I took it, the Wifi was an enjoyable plus.

Is that allowed? When I booked the ticket, the transfer was to Back Bay where I'd get on, it didn't give me an option to do otherwise.

I was trying to book my East Coast trip when the site went down and by the time it came up, I wasn't able to get the trip that I wanted.

Taking the Acela on July 1st in First Class. Downeaster in Business from POR to BON, then doing the self-transfer to Back Bay, then Acela into NYP. I'm really looking forward to this.

I'm on 14(17) and sitting in PDX right now. We have a lounge instead of a PPC, which isn't bad at all...Still missed the actual PPC, and I hope for its return in the Spring.

Will be on 14 on 12/17. Was so looking forward for my Mom to experience the Pacific Parlour Car for the first time, with me by her side. Hopefully there will be a PPC on our consist.

Last year, on the CZ, was on board on Thanksgiving and no sign of a traditional meal. I enjoyed the steak.

On one way trip RNO to CHI on CZ: Water in my room and available at Coffee Station. Juice (cranberry, Apple, orange) available all day and replaced each morning with fresh. Coffee was made each morning. Food in the diner was great! I did notice that the SCA in the car next to mine had put out...

I do not know, and am pinching myself for NOT asking. I was planning to write a letter of praise about my SCA on #6, AND the dining car crew of #6 AND the solo crew member that I mentioned on #50. That's how impressed and touched I was.

That's rather terrifying to be frank. I much prefer to take the CZ from Reno to EMY and SAC for shopping over being in coach, and with less sleeper space, that means higher pricing for sleepers.

On #50, in Indianapolis...full house here in Coach. They put an additional sleeper on, and the diner/lounge was so full from the sleepers that none of us coach passengers could get a reservation. The solo server/busser was kind enough to sell me the short rib dinner "to go" so that I could go...

Passed Osceola, IA a bit late on 6(27), but it looks like *fingers crossed* we will make the connections in CHI.

There is a third sleeper on the #6 that I'm on now. I was told by the crew that it is indeed there due to thanksgiving week.
