If Amtrak travel remains cashless through the summer, what is the protocol for tipping. My wife and I travel in a Roomette and always tip the Attendant (and the Dining Car staff.) We haven't travelled (but certainly looking forward to getting back on the rails.) since COVID-19 restrictions...

I have never experienced anything but a positive attitude from Amtrak employees on many trips over the last 13 years.

We bring a small cooler on every trip. Remember, your Roomette does have limited space. We freeze water bottles and put them in the cooler (ice and later, water.) Enjoy your trip!

Been on the CZ a couple of time on Xmas Eve and Xmas Day... honestly, not much difference than the other trips on the same line that I have taken. We do like the snow and the consequent scenery...

Best stations I have been to include: 1. Glenwood Springs, CO ...we love the view. 2. Grand Junction, CO ...we always have Ice Cream! 3. Union Station, Denver, CO ...the renovation was worth the wait and the Amshack across the street. Same route but still each one a great stop and station.

Always clean, I never have to wait, and had all the hot water I wanted. I am tall and must admit that the shower area is a bit cramped but for an averaged sized person there would be plenty of room. Always pleased with the amount of towels available. Enjoy!
