In general I think a roomette for the wife and my self price out fairly comparable to driving on many of are longer trips. Mid-Range trips get dicier. CHI works good for us as a short trip ~ 8hr. Other wise we about need to go to one coast or the other unless we just want a train ride.

Good to hear Davis has more parking than I thought. All I really saw was a fairly full lot next to the station. We stayed at the Hallmark Inn next to the station so parking was not a issue.

We stayed a few days in Davis CA lasts fall not much for parking around the station.

I hope you are correct that they can be transfed. I will pass on the unneeded as in the past. Late this fall the Mrs. and my self will be in the NEC. How usable are the one class upgrades on the Acella.

I take a pair of Croc's with me for train shoes. Easy off & on and double as shower shoes.

I have never seen some one left looking at the tail lights on the train my self. But the wife must live in fear of it. Dam she walks fast when it is time to head to the train.
