Removing the front wheel lets you turn the handlebars sideways easily and when you stack the wheel next to the frame it buys a ton of space. I don't know how it all works with the train cars, but taking the front wheel off my bike allows me to lay my bike in the trunk of my mid sized sedan.

Amtrak.com is acting goofy in the wee hours of this morning and Julie is not working either. The phone agents can't do anything except look up train status which is all I need at 4AM anyway. Don't know if this is how regular maintenance works or if it is signs of things to come.

You are not going to get miles/points on any card for balance transfers. If they did give you points you could just circulate balances back and forth between two cards and get all kinds of free stuff. Buying dollar coins from the US Mint is about as close as you can get to balance transfers...
