Any idea what's causing the delays on the Wolverine?

We have an upcoming trip on the Wolverine after Christmas, so, started watching the OTP again. Generally, I look at delays of 30-60 minutes as being on-time-ish. If you're taking Train 351 to Chicago, and connecting to one of the afternoon LD trains there is plenty of connect time. Also 351 is more likely to be on time than 353 or 355 as the day goes on. (This isn't scientific, more of an impression). Leaving Chicago on 350, 352, or 354, similar effect. So by adding the 30-60 minutes to the projected travel time has helped my perspective.

why wou od the rally affect train tr affic.

for the same reason it affected air traffic, highway traffic, etc.

there was a temporary flight restriction in a 30 mile radius of BTL that started causing issues with a few of our flights in AZO. At the same local roads were closed all over BTL. I heard they closed I-94 south of the BTL airfield and they probably had CN shut down as well.
