How do you most often pay for sleeper accommodations?

Points and money is a concept AGR should consider. I just flew first class (sorry for the F word) to LAX on Alaska Air, using 20,000 points tied to a 50% discount (maximum $ limit on discount). Transportation providers and hotels carry contingent liability on their books for frequent traveler costs. Amtrak could burn off points plus secure cash flow with a points and money option.

I think that they'd probably like to do that, but my understanding is that ARROW can't handle split payments. You can't for example use two credit cards to split the bill when you buy your tickets. It all has to go on one credit card. I'm not even sure if one can show up at a ticket window and hand the agent half in cash and then request to charge the rest. It may be possible, but I'm not sure.

How is it handled when someone is using a voucher for part of the payment, and either cash or credit card for the rest?

Guess that shoots down the second part of my statement, forgot about that. So I guess the agent can do cash & CC, much like voucher & CC.

This is exactly what I'm doing. Sort of a combination between buying and transferring what I have from other programs and its still way cheaper
