These kinds of articles always make me sad. we have been trying to get train service back in the Florida panhandle for 15 years on a route that is "suspended...", Believe it when you see it.

I'm currently on empire builder number 7. Was just told that they do not serve dessert with lunch. It's been three or four years since I've ridden the train but is this a new phenomenon?

It was just announced on another list that CSX has put up the Tallahassee and PA subdivisions for sale. These stretch from Baldwin to Pensacola. I'm sure this throws a monkey wrench into the entire non-moving process. But it sure can't help to dream what it would be like if Amtrak could buy this...

Darn smart phone. ..the strap holds hanging clothes tight to the wall opposite the toilet

When I travel in the view liners with a big suitcase I store it on the large arm rest next to the big seat opposite toilet. There is a strap there that will hanging clothes tight to the wall and I just run that strap through the handle of my suitcase to hold it securely

Currently sitting in the newly opened Metropolitan Lounge. What a great place! It's bright light cheery and twice as big as the old one. Currently lots of sandwiches and free food but I'm sure that's only for opening day. Anybody coming through Chicago needs to try it out

There indeed was a very very large turnout in Tallahassee and all cities in Florida west of tallahassee. also Madison had a great turnout. The only one I have not seen a report on is Lake City florida.
