I think it depends on your Credit Rating, ( perhaps State Law also applies?) Mine says 24.4%.

All of the agents @ the Austin( my Home Station) Station are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! That guy must have really been a jerk to cause the agent to consider calling the police, after clearly explaining the boarding policy @ Austin to him!

You should ask for a Redcap to assist you in the Station. Do not forget to tip for their service!

Please call Customer Relations ( not Customer Service) and report the crappy Crews and so called Food, and the conditions @ the Memphis Station!(not owned by Amtrak) You'll have to wait on the phone but this needs to be reported ASAP!

Long time ex-San Marcos resident and frequent visitor here. Thanks for the Pic, This building serves the Local Transit buses ( City) and is closed @ Night and has no services ( food, restrooms, information etc). The building is not as fancy as it looks, vandals and homeless folks hang out...

That's really strange considering that San Marcos is the last stop before San Antonio and the Station is just a platform with a shed roof over it,! Austin,Dallas or Ft Worth are the usual places bustitutions happen on this route.

This is happening more frequently as the P-42s are worn out and Amtrak still insists on running only 1 on 21/22!🤬 Even if they make it to Texas on time, Mechanical problems and UP Freight Trains usually cause then you be Late to Very Late into/ out of San Antonio!

Good plan, Ft Worth is a nice place, Dallas gets all the publicity but FTW is a real Texas City ( Cowtown) with lots to see and do,from Cattle Drives and Shootouts @ the Stockyards ( City buses from the Intermodel Station)to Great Art Museums! Also some good Tex Mex and BBQ places ( Google up...

UP has fenced off the Tracks in front of the Station all the way past Lamar Blvd,. so the walk has to go downhill from the Station to get anywhere. Ride Share or Taxi is the way to go if using the Amtrak Station.

Can't give you the Schedule, but Amtrak runs thruway buses between the Bakersfield Rail Station and LA Union Station since the San Joaquin Trains run from the North to/from Bakersfield. Honestly not sure if an Amtrak Rail ticket is still required since California used to require that???
