Just rewatched (unrelated: some annoying spelling function just changed rewatched to rewetted!) Trading Places (1983). Man, why don't they make funny movies like this anymore?

Anyway they take Amtrak on the NEC, and four passengers [APPARENTLY] traveling separately are seated together in a large private room. Was there ever a room option like that? What was it called? When/why did it go out of service/fashion?
 
Apparently it was just a movie set mockup, and there was nothing like it in actual service.

If you watch carefully you see an Amfllet Bag, which of course never existed. Upon closer examination you can see the taped on Red and Blue stripes billowing over Coach windows as the train departs.
