The Florida Department of Transportation continues to install more double track along the 72 mile rail corridor from Mangonia Park to Miami International Airport. Currently new track is laid from Rankin (MP SX996) to Camino Real (MP SX993), with the signals being wired. Track is being put down between Boynton and Lake Worth sidings, Boynton siding has been retied. The station construction is moving along. Signal suspensions are set to begin July 11 for 3-4 days, with Manual Blocking being put in place in the mean time. Delray Beach station is currently undergoing its reconstruction, passengers boarding there should exercise caution while at this station. More updates on the double tracking when I return from Baltimore on July 7.
