  1. You can get an idea of the kinds of delays that are encountered on a daily basis by visiting the Amtrak Twitter page "Amtrak Alerts:" https://mobile.twitter.com/AmtrakAlerts
  2. While looking at another thread there, I discovered another Amtrak source for what's happening... their Amtrak Alerts Twitter account. Here's the tweet about the #5 that turned into the #6 originating in Reno 1/17: https://twitter.com/AmtrakAlerts/status/1085994273084968960?s=20
  3. I was checking the CADOT Cameras for District 3 today, and there was traffic moving both ways every time I looked. http://dot.ca.gov/d3/cameras.html
  4. #5 is showing Service Interruption at Reno, and there is no #6 info from Emeryville, on Track-A-Train today. The Amtrak website has no information under Service Alerts and Notifications for the Zephyr. We know there is wind and snow today in the Sierras from the NWS.

I watched some TexRail construction videos today, and now I see why it was costly. It was a dedicated track that crossed rivers, and, in the congested rail routes near downtown Ft. Worth, bridges had to be inserted under highways, and above exiting track. Here's a video by Ricco Swuave

I visited the TexRail DFW North station today. Looks like they are ready to receive passengers. It's located off of Texan Trail (Hwy26) at the Dallas Rd. intersection, going east on Dallas Rd., until you reach the "Road Closed" sign, where you turn left to get to the station's parking lot.

Trinity Metro has received word from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) that the entire 27-mile TEXRail route has been approved for passenger service. We expect to begin full service from the T&P Station to DFW Airport’s Terminal B on: Thursday, Jan. 10. https://ridetrinitymetro.org/texrail-passenger-service/
