  1. Wondering if it would be a new version of Amtrak for that in here- no bed sheet, carpet floor, no menu/cafeteria, etc? At least the crew is awesome cleaning up and shower (well, fee is required)!
  2. Yup, it was. Perfect fitting for nostalgic parties.

    Amtrak Crew Base Question

Diners and coach/sleepers crew are usually in end point stations such as Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, etc. Engineers and conductors are all over where Amtrak serves, usually about 6 to 10 hours apart on a route.
  4. Praying for you, Betty, for healing!

Penn Station has the electronic Solaris board. It's on the far west side of New York City.

    Cruising (Ocean and River)

I've been on "mini" size cruise or live aboard scuba diving boats around Bahamas islands for a week twice. One was sailboat and other one was double hulls boat.

    Unsold sleepers

Out of curiosity, which one if the car is full, has the most profit- sleeper (after paying for meals) or coach?
  9. Those natural lights do really brightened up the interior of building! I visited that station nearly two months ago. Now I need to visit it again to see the glass ceiling!
  10. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for healing and strength.
  11. I've seen it before with heavy downpour where I used to live in NM. We got about 3" of rain in half hour. I've heard one place got 9" in 3 hours. One trucker had to walk on standing water over road to make sure it's not too deep for his truck to drive over.

    Menu Capitol Limited?

Yup, it's a new menu for some routes such as Capital Limited and LSL. I believe you have 3 choices for dinner and only one choice for breakfast. It's on the rumor that it may expanding to other routes. Keep writing to your Congress Representatives about it.

    New Siemens Charger locomotive.

Are Chargers more fuel efficient than P42s if pulling the same numbers of cars and tonnages? If so, how much efficient?

Roomette by Family Room- Too Noisy?

The vestibule doors open between the cars making a lot of wind noise on upper level.
  15. It rode with Capital Limited #30 last night from Chicago. Don't know how far it went since I got off Pittsburgh this am.
