The 22-year-old restaurant has new owners, and new plans

It looks like longtime Union Station bar and restaurant Traxx is coming back from the dead. The Art Deco space snagged a couple of new owners, and should be reopening in the coming weeks.

I hope the new owners succeed. And, I hope that they will make the entrance to Traxx appear more welcoming to travelers. While waiting for the SWC, I was looking for a casual venue for lunch. Seriously considered Traxx, but it's appearance looked more "formal" than I desired and its menu, for lunch, did not appeal.

It would have been nice if they could have replaced Traxx with a casual lunch counter/diner type operation you would have found in a large station during the halcyon days of rail travel.
