OP here. Btw it will be one adult (myself) with two kids.

Yeah my hotel on lombard is about 1.5 mile walk from the closest F stop up at FW. And I will have 2 kids w me. And luggage. I don't think a cab is nuts. Google maps approximates 8 min drive, 40 minute bus. I'll pay $20 for the cab.

Actual destination is over towards marina district, lombard st. I didn't see any thruway stops over that way, so we'll have to take a cab I suppose from Ferry building.

Thanks everyone. I will change the destination to SFC (ferry building). Does anyone know the order in which the buses stop? Is the ferry building first?

When I booked my CZ AGR trip I specified EMY as the destination instead of SFW (fisherman's wharf). Does this mean that I won't be able to board the thruway bus in EMY? What are my options? Can I change the AGR reservation or is that not doable? Other options I see.... -cab, pretty expensive...

And another general tipping question.... it will be me, and two kids - 10 & 7. How much to tip SCA?

OK next followup question.... being on a sleeper I know the meals are included. How do tips work? I assume I would still tip 15-20% of whatever the meal would have cost, correct? If so, can I use credit card for tip only? Or do I need cash there?

I'm a first timer. Question - one of my kids has bed wetting issues. We're taking the cz in late April for two nights. Hopefully we won't have issues, but if so, what are the best suggestions? Bring absorbent bed pads? Ask the SCA for new sheets? Maybe even give him a heads up when we board?

I assume incidents are rare (hopefully)? Taking my first Amtrak trip in a few weeks on the CZ.... this isn't helping.
