  It's a shame but that bag is history; someone now has a nice pair of cameras. Maybe an Amtrak employee; maybe a fellow passenger. Who knows. And as the other person said, this board has no connection to Amtrak.

Ten rides are ten rides. This is not critical information; it is simply common sense. Ten just happens to be ten.

Amtrak didn't "hit" trespassers... trespassers got in the way of the trains because they -- they trespassers -- are (or were) idiots. I only feel bad for the engineer and other train crew involved. For the dead? Darwin always wins.

Sure am. Besides, it's part of the health code, no matter what dog/cat owners think or want to believe. As I said, I have two cats and would never inflict them on anyone who didn't like cats. I don't like dogs... and I don't want them inflicted on me.

I go to Europe a lot. Europeans look at life differently than how we do and vice versa. Neither is wrong or right. I don't like pets in restaurants there anymore than I do here, but I put up with it in Europe because "them's the rules." Here, no so much.

Actually, it does. I'm a total elitist and hate lines. If I get some sort of perk -- gold card or whatever -- you can believe I'll use it and get ahead of anyone else who doesn't have the same card. Otherwise, why bother? There are those who step up... and those who get stepped on.

FDA can't fire anyone. Local health inspectors can close a place for a violation, but that's not even reported to the FDA. Where on earth did you get that bit of information? Or is it purely supposition?
