Great tips - will keep in mind each. Wasn't aware that the lounge car was heavily utilized (only used it once or twice in the past for coffee in the AM) Thank you for the heads up.
Absolutely will. I was a SELECT Plus member of AGR in 2009 and used ClubAcela Philly often. I miss it and can't...
Hey folks,
I'm planning an upcoming trip from Philadelphia-Tampa in March 2011 and have a question for you all. I will be traveling with two other adults on this trip and each of us will be getting our own roomette. We all are professionals and will be probably working most of the afternoon...

I am a frequent traveler on Amtrak and overall a very vocal supporter. I ride the Keystone Service 2-3 days a week, make 8-10 NE corridor trips per year on either Regional or Acela and take one trip per year on the Silver Star in Sleeper class accommodations...
I am planning a trip to Tampa, FL (from Philly, PA) in March of 2011 and am planning on deviating from my annual Silver Star (Amtrak 91) routine and trying out the much-lauded Auto Train. I have a baby (9mos) now so the ability to pack my car as if it were our suitcase is very attractive to my...
