I’ll be polite and greet my fellow diners….but outside of that, I’m going to excuse myself and go back to my book. I’m not trying to be rude, I’m just introverted like that. 🙂
I’m sorry but I respectfully disagree with you. If I want to hide behind my device instead of feeling obligated to talk to strangers that I happen to be seated with, I don’t see anything wrong with that. 😶
This was my breakfast yesterday morning…rubbery French toast with very undercooked bacon. I only took a couple of bites and just ended up throwing it away. I can’t believe Amtrak deems this acceptable for first class service.
I am also deaf so this has been my experience as well. I usually go to the dining car, but I’m not always comfortable with the communal seating as I’m very much of an introvert.
YES!! Not only are my HA’s constantly tangled up in my mask straps, but the constant struggle of not being able to lip read and read facial expressions which is crucial for communication especially with those who don’t or can’t sign.
While I completely agree with you on that point, I’m also deaf and mask mandates have made my life more difficult and even though I’ll continue to wear one publicly (even though I’m fully vaccinated ) I really wish I didn’t have to, especially on a long distance trip. 😊
Nope, I’ve been this way as long as I can remember. My last airplane ride ended with me in a complete panic, unable to leave my seat-even to go to the bathroom. I haven’t travelled on an airline since. ☹️
I took BC on the Starlight to Seattle, I got neither leather seating nor the coupon. I did however get access to the Parlour car for what ended up being the first and last time experiencing it. I haven’t taken BC since because honestly what am I paying the extra for?
