Trip coming up and another question. We are flying into Utah SLC from ORD. My brother is taking all our luggage as he is driving and will pick us up at the airport. My question is for the train ride home. This is what we will have and want to know if we can bring it all or if we will need to...
First trip in August. We have a roomette, so it looks like we can bring a cooler in there. Is that correct? Also, Does the train have an icemaker where we can refill if needed?
I currently have a roomette starting in Granby, Co on my way to Naperville, IL.
Can I get on the train in Denver instead without having to contact amtrak? I did not realize the long delay there so am thinking I just as soon depart from there.
Is checking luggage where it is in a special car? We will be bringing luggage and assumed we did not need to check as would put in the luggage area ourselves.
Instead of starting a new post, I hope I can add on to an existing one.
I am going from Granby, CO to Nap, IL and booked a roomette. Is this a good car and if not, is it possible to change cars.
Car 0632 - Room 005
thank you for the suggestion, but that looks to take him a little bit out of his way to get back home plus we would need to leave Park City earlier I think. Is Granby or Denver a better stop? Also, why is it a 4 hour difference as it seems Denver would be next stop after Granby?
Thanks all. Since we were going to fly back, decided to fly in instead, then drive with my brother to Granby, co and take that train home for our first experience. Arrival and departure during afternoon, so should be much safer. Glad I asked here as made this decision a no brainer.
I have a couple questions after looking through some of the forum.
We are taking a family trip to Park City, Utah with the Zephyr train schedule to arrive around 9:35 pm in Provo, Ut.
On average, how late will this be? Was thinking of Provo as it would still be a decent time for family already...
