Hello all,

I've been working on some model amfleets (for trainz railroad simulators) and i had a few questions.

Do the Capstone Amfleet 1's in phase IVB have the original green seats?

Also, can someone provide a detailed roster of the amcoach numbers (the one on On Track On Line isnt detailed in the specific numberings)

Thanks

Corey

They should be consistently numbered. However over the years some cars have been wrecked and scrapped creating inconsistencies. Also in the 2xxxx and 4xxxx series some cars have been renumbered into the 8xxxx series due to Capstone refurbishments.

I downloaded that and the other photo from your website, i cant distinguish the floor color by any photos i have.

If you have the emergency exit cards from Amfleet 1's they show the bistro and the coach in acela regional form.

okay, thanks john!

Seems to me as though the empire service is useually assigned the old 84 seater coaches. I've seen capstones used on this run, but not as often. Is Amtrak trying to assign the regionals the capstones, or this just coincident.

Also, id like to request interior photos of amfleets, i've gotten the ones from Amtrak Florida and Amtrak unlimited, but is there any from anyones private collection? Id prefer amfleet 1 photos pver amfleet 2.

Thanks for the help

Quite possible. Like the EB getting first pick at the renovated superliners. I assume you mean the ones with the red seats?

It is possible that it is coincidence, but it is also possible it is planned that way. If you think about it the vast majority of the trainsets are laying over in Albany or Niagra Falls, not exactly locations where a lot of interchange can be done, except with other cars in the fleet. The vast majority of trainsets are doing their layovers in locations like Ivy City and Southampton Street, making it harder for cars to cycle through.

Thats what i was thinking, but anyways, i've seen non capstones with red interiors, and non capstones in blue interiors, so i guess it was done at random. What is the difference between an Empire Service Club Dinette, and one they would use out of chicago? Is the club seating different?

Corey

To my knowledge there is no such thing as an "Empire Service" Club-Dinette.

Now there are two types of Club-Dinette cars, one made from Amfleet I's the other made from Horizon food cars. Beyond that, I'm not aware of any major differences between the two models. Both have 2 & 1 faux leather seating for Business Class at one end, while the other end has table seating. The food service area remains in the middle.

There is also an ADA version in the Horizon line, which seats 4 less in BC.
