Note where PTC is not required. Part of the CZ route and the CS route...

Yeah, I don't think the CZ needs PTC in the Rockies since it's moving at a snail's pace.  :P

Doesn't Heartland Flyer use BNSF, not UP?

Yeah, I don't think the CZ needs PTC in the Rockies since it's moving at a snail's pace.  :P

According to the map's legend, the part of the CZ route PTC is not required looks to be well down the west slope of the Rockies from Dotsero, CO to at or near Price, UT.

From Denver, over the rockies to Dotsero is colored as scheduled for PTC install during the 2nd to the 4th quarter this year, which means that would be in progress right now if they are on time. 


California Zephyr • Coast Starlight  • Southwest Chief • Sunset Limited • Texas Eagle • Illinois Zephyr • Capitol Corridor
