Homeless and such do drift through public places on a regular basis, but to clear the area, provide food, tables and chairs free every day is not the remit of the railway companies. The folks helping on Xmas day would all be volunteers too, can't see the "for profit" rail companies paying wages to staff to cater for the "down and out", somehow...
