Does anyone know if discounted rates at Hertz and Enterprise and other travel partners get one Amtrak points when using AARP, AAA, USAA, Costco or Sams or other discount rates?

I believe they do. I think I have received point with them.
Take it easy .......

Take the train instead and enjoy the ride!

The view is much better at 3 feet than it is at 30,000 feet!

They should.  I haven't rented directly from Enterprise in a while.  The last time I did I'm pretty sure I booked on a AAA discount rate and there was even a bonus.  I checked it, and I got 250 base points, and there was some promotion where I got 500 bonus points.

I had a few business trips where the company paid for Hertz, but I didn't try to link it to AGR.  It was a special corporate rate though.  I did link my Southwest account to that travel and got a bunch of points.

We favor enterprise as they pick you up at the station. Never had a single problem getting the points with them. As for special rates and point promotions, I believe that the same rate is available whether you book on or off the AGR website but just to be sure we always comparison shop. Enterprise also seems quite good about free upgrades when your chosen car isn't available.
