This is for my friends out east. I record consists as they come over railstream, but on tonight's 30, The Capitol Limited, I couldn't make out the lead engine's number (P-42) . I was able to make out the Dash 8-32BWH's Number (Number 521). Could anyone inform me if they know the Lead engine's number?

Thank you!

-Kyle

The lead unit should be P-40 815 with the 512 trailing. The 815 should ultimately end up in Auto train service.

They say laughter is the best medicine. Obviously they never posted on AU.

Thank you Thirdrail7!, I thought I saw 115, which of course would have been a P-42, but now I know is was an 8! Thank you!

I'll take a guess that 815 was in Beech Grove for some work? Cause I'm well aware that 815 is pretty much captive to the Auto Train.

Yes. P42 #146 has been filling in temporarily on the Flagship.

Not the Grove, just Chicago for an engine change. Then a round trip to LAX.
