#1 = leaves San Antonio on time but some 150 miles later leaves Del Rio 4 1/4 hours late.

#2 = left Del Rio 1 hour and 41 minutes late but leaves San Antonio four hours and 16 minutes late.

Which effects #22, which left San Antonio almost three hours late.

The delay was not due to track work. Let's say train 1 "ran into" a delay that impacted 2.

A train leaves SAS on time then drops four hours before the next station, and no one knows why?

#22 that left yesterday is now 5 hours down, but hey, its "normal" right?

On the bright side, #22 left SAS on time this morning. I wander if Amtrak will run an extra #22 section on time between STL and CHi?

What are the "typical things" ?
Trespassers or a vehicle typically containing a trespasser?
That's typical alright. We need to set up some type of code:

1) Broken down freight

2) Pedestrian trespasser

3) gate runner

4) failed engine

etc.

You forgot "Beat a passenger and dragged him from the train". Oops! Wrong transportation company. :)

Don't forgot that Police shot a passenger aboard the Texas Eagle while at the Dallas stop and wounded an innocent passenger.

I've seen lots of passengers removed in handcuffs by LE from Amtrak trains! (but honestly not for refusing to give up their seat!)

Somehow having armed LE agents board/aboard transportation vehicles seems to result in situations like this arising.

YMMV
