Some of the seats in the upper level of a SSL car can be swiveled.

Apparently there is a release lever between the under side of the seat and the floor.

Does one pull the lever out, push it in, or rotate it?

Interesting. I know that some of the seats would swivel when others seemed not to want to. I will remember to see if there is some kind of a release button to allow of this.
 
As I understand it, the seats in coach have a release to swivel (reverse) them. I have never used a release in the lounge car and I have swiveled those seats many times.
 
There are no levers, etc. for the seats in the sightseer lounge. Only a few of the seat swivel "stiffly" very minimal(maybe an inch not more). Lounge seats are grouped facing the windows and the ones that swivel are single seat that turn "just a little" toward other seats in that group to aid conversation.

Some of the single and double seats in the end section of the SSL do rotate. I've seen some people turn them 180° around! (The seats in the middle section do not.) I've yet to figure out how it's done, or if they are just broken.
 
Yep I've seen people rotate seats in the SSL by reaching under the seat and manipulating something.

And I've watched YouTube videos that show SSL seats rotated as much as 30° in the videos.

And yes they were only single and double seats.
